Epigenetic Therapy

Epigenetic Therapy

Epigenetics is the science of how differences or aberrations in cells can turn genes on or off. For example, if inherited genes, viruses, toxins or chemo and radiation disrupt normal gene processes, genes can malfunction and promote cancer, heart conditions, mental illness, diabetes and other degenerative diseases.  The premise of the healing approach in epigenetics is to discover what conditions caused the cancer in the first place, and then to reverse or restore these conditions to a healthy state.

Epigenetics requires extensive testing of a patient’s DNA and body ecology. Once a detailed biochemical analysis is performed, the doctor develops a unique treatment plan that uses predominantly alternative and holistic techniques, and is tailored to each patient’s biological profile. This approach can also employ herbal detoxification and nutritional therapy to restore the cellular biology to a healthier condition. Included with the DNA testing are other tests that evaluate types and levels of chemical toxicity, including cell radiation load. Doctors who practice this niche area of alternative medicine are experts in nutrition, biochemistry and epigenetics and can unlock the mechanisms of all sorts of degenerative conditions and diseases.

Epigenetic Therapy is potentially an excellent adjunct to another therapy such as IST, or any other kind of conventional or alternative treatment plan. In fact, this is exactly the treatment protocol I started as I finished the second edition of this book.

Epigenetics is a very complicated science, and to my knowledge, there are not a lot of doctors providing this service to cancer patients in the United States.

Alternative cancer medicine contends that cancer stem cells remain in the body for years after a patient enters remission, especially for those with late stage cancers. The higher the stage the more likely it is that the tumor has released radiation and chemo resistant stem cells into the blood. A cancer in remission is certainly something to rejoice in, but doing so should be tempered with a sober awareness that a serious risk of recurrence remains, unless a post treatment plan is developed that intentionally restores the immune system and targets the cancer stem cells.

Let’s next look at some important early detection cancer tests, and understand their actual levels of sensitivity. Some of these tests may very well help save your life, if implemented aggressively as part of a post remission treatment plan. Remember, the earlier the detection, the easier it is to treat, and the higher the survival.
